Petting Zoos in LI - White Post Farm or LI Game Farm?
I took DS to both the NY Aquarium and the Central Park Zoo this weekend. DS had such a great time that I want to take him to another petting zoo next weekend. I feel bad because I didn't let DS feed the animals. I will be back in LI visiting my parents this weekend.
Can you recommend a petting zoo for a 1yo in LI?
I've read about good things on here on White Post Farm and LI Game Farm. Which do you think is better?
My parents live very close to WPF. I wonder if it is worth the extra trek to LI Game Farm.

You could go half way and go to The Holtsville Ecology Center ( and its free  )

They also have goats, sheep etc to feed (and a brand new playground )

I second Holtsville Ecology center... my DD is 2 and loves it. I began bringing her last year when she was 1 and it was just enough for her. And you can't beat the price tag.

I think this is the Animal Petting Zoo. DS loved it last year, I cant wait to take him again. They had a ton of stuff and it wasnt too crowded unlike the game farm can be, so he really got to interact with the animals.

li game farm is exspensive and not worth it in my opinion very disapointing for the price holtsville is almost the same and its free

If you go to ecology site just get there early. Like 10 am or sooner. It gets busy with groups from preschools and adult programs. I went last week and DD loved it. Nice playground also.
