personal hygiene in public
Why the fluck do the men in my office think that fingernail clipping at their desk is ok to do ? You would think they had 40 fingers with all the clipping.
This is an open office. A very open office.
Nothing is private, everything can be heard.
If someone farts, it can be heard.
I hate the sound of clippers - makes my skin crawl.
ARGGGGHHHHHH !

Yeah I find that so odd.
I mean I can see filing. You break a nail and just do a quick file of the ragged edge.
But why can't clipping wait until you get home?
I don't get it!

There are about 4 ladies in my office that clip their nails at their desk and it drives me CRAZY! I HATE the sound of clipping nails. Why can't people do that at home? Like the PP said, if you are filing thats one thing but not clipping YOUR ENTIRE HAND. Disgusting

Just about every office job I've held has had a guy that thinks it's perfectly acceptable to do this and I haven't a clue why! It's SO flippin' GROSS!!

I think I would prefer the nail clippings to the disgusted, wretched stench emanating from the smoker behind me. Our office smells like an ashtray. His bad breath is rivaled only by the stink of a rotting corpse.

On that note I am so glad I don't take the train any more- between disgusting smelling food, women applying makeup (and I know this doesn't bother everyone, but come on) and people clipping their nails, it was often a long ride of gross.

People are really gross. This morning I saw some guy on the LIRR two knuckles deep in his nose. I wanted to vomit I was so grossed out.

only thing worse than this is the smoker who drinks copious amounts of coffee. dear god, there is nothing worse!

It's like all those people who think they are in a cloak of invisibility when in their cars and are digging for gold up their noses. Um hellooooooooo we can ALL see you!!!

Make-up never really bothered me until recently. I noticed how all this powder was flying off this girls brushes and it skeeved me out. This AM I got up and moved my seat when the girl next to me started her makeup routine because I kept thinking of her skin flakes flying on me and all the powder from her brushes getting all over my coat

Saves them in his desk drawer.

I never understood this either. Maybe it's because I will NOT leave my house without makeup for fear of scaring a small child or getting arrested,  , but why can't you do this at home? I'm tired too, but I get up with enough time to get my make up on.
Also, the lighting on the trains is SOOO bad- that nasty fluorescent stuff- I could never do make up in it.

A man on the train last night blew his nose and then dropped it on the flood on purpose. I pointed out to him..."oh no I think you dropped your tissue"...he picked it up. I don't understand why people use the floor of the LIRR as a garbage can for things...snotty tissues especially!

Ugh, someone I used to work with did this in his cubicle, so gross!
My favorite is the woman who sat in the middle seat on the LIRR and then started to fully floss her teeth. I'm not talking about her having something stuck in a tooth and just discretely trying to dislodge the item. She full on flossed every tooth. It was disgusting.

OMG I used to have one of these at my old job.
And he would have a habit of coming INTO my cubicle and standing there with his junk right in my face.
