Pediatric Dermatologist - please recommend!
If you have any experience with a pediatric dermatologist, please post their name. DS has a massive rash from his drooling issue (a whole other post  ) and the ped wants him to see a ped derm. Unfortunately it seems the one he gave me (Leonard Kristal) is about the only ped derm in the world - he has a lengthy waiting period due to bookings and the holiday next week and I was really hoping to get DS in sooner.
Any recs, esp Nassau or even Queens / Western Suffolk, would be appreciated.

Hey Eileen - I just took Colin to a derm a couple of wks ago for his eczema. I don't know that he specializes in peds but my aunt works for him (in the office) so I used him. He was very nice and gave me a cream that cleared Colin up within a day or two. They have offices in Oceanside and Levittown - Dr. Kornrich 516 731 7065

I believe there's another Ped Derm with Dr Kristal b/c that's who Mason is seeing.
Yes, they seem to be the only Ped Derm on LI. THe one in New Hyde Park.

Call Kristal's office every day. If they get a cancellation, they will try to get you in sooner. I got in probably 2 or 3 weeks earlier than I was supposed to doing that and the receptionist was the one who told me to do it.

Yes, they seem to be the only Ped Derm on LI. THe one in New Hyde Park.
His name is Robert Hayman- we saw him twice for a hemangioma -which reminds me that we are due for another follow up! We saw him at Stonybrook Dermatology Associates.

South Shore Dermatology in Oceanside has a ped derm...her name is Dr. Abitbol. I saw her before I went to Dr. Kristal for the mole removed on DS's foot.

Oh, and BTW I wasn't bowled over with Kristal.....he was ehh.....

Yes... Dr Hayman. Love him! Such a nice guy. Yes, Mason is seeing him for the hemangioma as well. We're due to see him again this Spring so I better make an appt soon for April.
