Passport photo for 19mo???? Anyone done this?
How did yours turn out?
I tried to take one & I have one where her head is right at me, but she looked slightly off to the side. I don't know if they will accept that. Her head isn't turned.
All the ones of her looking at me, she's either got a silly face or down right scary/mugshot!

Here are tips for taking good photos from the State department website:
Taking photos of your baby or toddler
When taking a photo of your baby or toddler, no other person should be in the photo, and your child should be looking at the camera with his or her eyes open.
Tip 1: Lay your baby on his or her back on a plain white or off-white sheet. This will ensure your baby's head is supported and provide a plain background for the photo. Make certain there are no shadows on your baby's face, especially if you take a picture from above with the baby lying down.
Tip 2: Cover a car seat with a plain white or off-white sheet and take a picture of your child in the car seat. This will also ensure your baby’s head is supported
Maybe the car seat idea could be the best one to try?

I took my 18-month old to CVS for a passport photo. It took awhile to get a good one, but it was acceptable. They were great with him.

Re: Passport photo for 19mo???? Anyone done this?
My DS is 12 months old and we just took him down to Walgreens and paid $10 for it. I am a photographer but I didn't want to deal with trying to get one and worry if it was correct. He didn't look dead straight no matter how hard we tried to get him too. This was what we ended up with:

I did see the link with the tips...I think asking a 19/20mo to lay still is even worse
I sat her in her high chair with a white oaktag behind her.
Do you think the post office will tell me if the photo is acceptable?

Re: Passport photo for 19mo???? Anyone done this?
I tihnk they'll accept anything that is semi right for a baby or a toddler. Both of my kids got theirs done when they were 6 weeks old. so definitely hard to get them to look the right way (or even be awake for a photo! ) But for DD, I took it with a white blanket behind her and even though she was looking to the side it was accepted. And with DS we took it at the Bethpage post office with me holding him up in front of white posterboard. It was accepted too even though you can see my arms holding him in the pic. good luck!

My DD was 13/14 months when we took her passport photo at CVS. I am holding her and leaning all the way to the side to avoid being in the photo. Her head is not straight and she's not looking right at the camera but it was still fine. If it's not acceptable they will let you know at the passport office.

I know this is a little old, but we got ours taken at Picture People. It cost $16 but we actually got a cute picture. It was a MUCH better experience than we were trying to get from Walgreens.

I took the girls last year - so DD#2 was about 22 or 23 months at the time. We had them done at the post office - they just took them until they got an acceptable one. I think it was like $8 or $10.

The guy at our Costco photo center was a genius - hr put DS inside the big part of a shopping cart in front of the white screen. DS gave a giant smile :)
