Part-time doorman - tip question!

DH and I got married in October and moved in together to a new place. We have two part time doormen - they work afternoon-evenings (one works 5 days, one works 2 days).

What would be an appropriate tip for Christmas? Never lived in a doorman building

Also, do we tip our super? He's come up twice to fix something in our apartment so I figure we do tip, yes? Amount?

Re: Part-time doorman - tip question!

This is going to be our third year dealing with the doorman-tipping thing. It's very complicated IMO Chat Icon

If I lived in a smallish building with only 2 doormen, I'd probably give them $100 each. Or you could do $100 for the 5 day a week guy and $50 for the 2-day guy?

For our super, we usually do $100.

It's expensive living in a doorman building. Chat Icon

Ok so this is a bigger tip than I thought. And wow, TEN doormen!!! Dude, you tip more than $500 just at your building!

Anyone else?

It's "average" if you're descended from a long line of overtippers, like my DH is. Don't even get me started on FIL Chat Icon

I would have gone with $20-30. Chat Icon I probably still would have gone with $50-100 for the super. I'm always breaking things in the apartment.
