Parents of young children with glasses...

How did you realize that your child needed glasses?

What steps did you take to get their eyes checked? Pediatric Opthamologist? Did you speak with the pediatrician first?

We have noticed that Emily squints sometimes when she is watching TV. Other times she seems perfectly fine. She also complains if we put the light on bright in her room when she wakes up, but I don't know if that's bc my DH makes a big deal of it or because she really is bothered from the light.
