Painting in an open floor plan..

There's no way around it - I have to paint everything the same color, right? Maybe with the exception of an accent wall?

The house we are hoping to buy has an open floor plan with the formal dning room, living room and kitchen pretty much in one big space with a cathedral celing in the living room part and maybe the dining room (I can't remember!). I am trying to get ideas of what I can do with it.

I have an open floor plan as well and at first I was sure that I was going to paint everything the same color, but then I was convinced that the formal LR could be a different shade (our staircase separates the dining room from the formal living room) and it actually came out better than I thought! I'll take some pics and post..

We have an open floor plan too. I don't have a lot of pics right now...but we did 3 different colors. I'll try to take pics too.

We have an OF, and no, it's not all the same color. The kitchen is a light, bright green and the living room is Sherwin Williams Antique Linen (although it'll be a gray/blue hue at some point)...

Everyone (my family, since that's who visits ) loves it.

I say, experiment with different colors, live it up!

We have an open floor plan and my colors are very similar to those pics. My living/dining room is the yellow color above, a little lighter with splashes of red and green and my den is close to the green color above.
