Pains In My Stomach - Updated (6/29)
I am having bad pains in my stomach today. I am 35 weeks and never had these pains before. Also, I have pain down below esepcially everytime I time to get into bed or get up from sitting. Do you think the baby is in position? When I went to the Dr last week he was not in position yet. My next appointment is Mon.

I felt something similar, along with major pressure...like the baby wanted to come out. Turns out, the head was "very low".

I am not sure. If I still have this pain tonight, I am going to go to the Dr tomorrow.
Kathy, his head can't be low since as of last Mon his head was not even in position. Unless, he moved into position within the last week.

When you have those pains press on your belly if it is hard than those are contractions.

That's what I was thinking, maybe he did move.
I am thinking the same thing. I guess I am going to have to wait and see when I go to the Dr on Mon.

No not at all. I have IBS and have not been able to take my medication since I got preggo so I have not been constipated this whole pregrancy.

im getting those pains too ..(39 1/2 weeks) i know they say that in the pelvic area your ligaments start to loosen for the baby to get ready to come out..but as of right now..my baby isnt going anywhere..but i still have those wonderful pains

Updated (6/29): As you all know, I had this pain yesterday so after lunchtime the pain was so bad that I called the Dr. The Dr's office told me that they thought I might be having preterm contractions and to go to the hospital. So I called my DH (who happened to just get out of work in the city too) and he came to pick me up from work and we went to the hospital. When we get to the hospital, they hook me up to 2 moniters (one to moniter the baby's heartrate and the other to see if I was having contractions). About 1/2 hour later, a Dr comes in to do an internal exam and she tells me that I am closed and that was good. Then she did a sonogram and everything looked good. My Dr happened to be in the hospital delivering a baby so the Dr that examined me spoke to him and what they both decided was that because the baby is lying sideways his head was pressing against the nerves and he was probably headbutting me all day. We left the hospital about 5 (which was not to bad considering we got there almost 3).
We are so glad that everything was ok.
