Pain in my left ovary area?

Anyone get this before AF or....a (dare I say it) BFP? I'm really trying not to think too much about symptoms this month, but this afternoon I keep getting a ping on lower left side by pubic bone. I don't remember this in other months.

When I get cramps before AF I usually get them in both sides but one is always stronger then the other.

Thanks. It's weird b/c it's not my normal cramps....not really cramps at all--just an occasional zap of pain (not severe though) in ovary area. I guess I'll have to just wait and see--and not drive myself crazy (yeah, right!)

I noticed the same pain last month and again tonight actually. Both were around the time of ovulation, but I would think this month it should be on the opposite side. I'm going to just keep track of it and mention it to my Dr. the next time I see her.

Yeah I get this during O time too, but yesterday I was experiencing it in 2WW.
But I would't worry about it being on the same side, I've read that your ovaries don't necessarily alternate each month. In fact, I'm pretty sure I O'd from the left the last few cycles.

Actually, I had this too last month and found it really odd. It felt like I was getting ready to ovulate again- but I was in the 2 WW. It lasted like 2 days off and on and then I ended up getting AF anyway. Chat Icon

Good luck!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Yeah, seems like that's how it's going for me too (posted earlier about some blood-tinged CM this am). I'm convinced the month I get pregnant I will have zero symptoms!

Re: Pain in my left ovary area?

It's a cyst - it's called the corpus luteum cyst. It develops where the egg released. It produces estrogen and progesterone, which are needed to sustain a pregnancy. It usually goes away after a few weeks. It doesn't mean you are pregnant, but if you are, you will feel it long after AF should have arrived.

Some women feel it (I always did), some women don't.

ETA: That's how I was able to tell which side I O'd from each month Chat Icon
