This ay be a stupid question but when cleaning a pacifer ( we are cleaning our newborn kit with bottles and pacifers, etc.) besides putting them in hot soapy water do you also boil them with rest of the stuff? TIA

Re: pacifers

I did in the beginning but actually at the hospital they gave them to us straight out of the wrapper.

Re: pacifers

We did, but the soothies that come in the wrapper (from the hospital and the soothie website) are sterile. The ones that you buy at the store need to be sterilized before use. Other pacifiers definitely need to be sterilized in boiling water before use, IMO.

Re: pacifers

DD is almost 5 months and I still sterilize the pacifiers everyday. So, of course, I did right out of the package too.

Re: pacifers

I only sterilized after i took them out of the package, otherwise we wash them in warm soapy water everyday with her bottles.
