Outer Beach at Shinnecock East?

Does anyone go?

We used to go to the Outer Beach at SMith's Point but we bought the permit before realizing it was closed for beach erosion.

Is it the same setup at Shinnecock? If we are going with a few people that don't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, is there a place they can park and make 2 trips?

We camp there all the time... there is a parking lot for 4 wheel drive vehicles... it is a long walk to the ocean if walking though.....
I haven't been to smith point.. but at Shinnecock its 1 long row of campers on the ocean beach and 1 long row of campers on the jetty side.

So if we are not cmaping, just going to the beach in the truck we need to walk?

If you are going to the beach and you have a green key and an outer beach sticker then you can drive on....it fills up fast on the weekends... you can pull right up to the ocean.

I didn't get a Suffolk permit this year for the erosion reason. Outer Beach was always too crowded.
