outdoor movie... anyone do it?... NEW QUESTION ADDED
has anyone been to or hosted an outdoor movie?
i saw it once on easy entertaining with michael chiarello on food netwoork.
this is a picture i found online
and below is a pic of my street.
what do you think?
if you were invited would you come?
cool or silly idea?
edited to delete pic of street... couldn't get the size right.
NEW QUESTION: WHAT MOVIE WOULD YOU SUGGEST? (most families attending will have young children)
oh and cinema paradiso is a GREAT movie!

a neighbor came by to ask a quick question and i ran it by her... she liked the idea!!!
i think i'm going to go ahead with the idea.
i just don't know how/where to get a projector

we did one in college and had the huge sheet against a building. it was expensive to rent the sheet if I remember correctly, and we were worried about the weather--it can't be too windy, rainy, etc. but it was fun!

I live near Baltimore, MD and there is a street in Little Italy that does this every 1st Friday all summer long.
It was started by a local man- he used a projector out of his apartment window. The wall across is painted white to make it easier for him.
The last movie of the summer is always Cinema Paradiso.
I LOVE going to the outdoor theater!!

Not a silly Idea at all... My sister doe's it all of the time... the movie we have seen so far is Rv, wizard of oz, there have been other's i cant remember..lol... But it's a 'FUN' night and I love this Idea!!!
