outdoor dining south shore long island
from amityville to babylon, are there any GOOD places to eat???
doesn't have to be on the water, but would be nice...

The Beach Hut at Venetian Shores has pretty decent food but it's casual fare - nothing fancy. They have really good drinks there though and usually have good entertainment at night.
I know Babylon was your limit but I love Fat Fish in Bayshore. It has really nice outdoor atmosphere and the food is good. My MIL said Cool Water Grille (also in Bayshore) has awesome food too.
The Hook in Babylon has outdoor dining but I haven't been there since it changed owners so I can't comment on the food.
I'll keep thinking.

Hmmm - if you can get to Bay Shore I recommend Cool Water and Captain Bill's.
