Our two year appt...
was yesterday (inspired by Rachel )
Bella at two grew 1 1/2 inches and gained exactly FOUR pounds in almost exactly four months...launching her into the 80th percentile for height and 90th for weight 
Doc was a bit verbally concerned at reading her 4 lb gain, but upon examining her, he said she was very muscular and proportioned...but her weight gain should be slowing down (1lb a month at this age is CRAZY)
She also has a bit (on my conservative doc's scale) of an elevated cholesterol , which means we need to cut back on the hot dogs and cheese (what the heck else to kids eat )
Intelligence-wise he said we have a three year old on our hands...greeeeeeeat...he was shocked she knew her body parts (which she demonstrated upon request) and almost fell over when we told her about timing her daddy out (which is a cognitive GOOD thing, although DH doesn't think so )
She got a CBC and cholesterol test (the cholestarol was 30 buck, but worth avoiding the lab since they do it all right there) She is so nosey that she only cried when the nursed pricked her fiinger and only whined while she watched the blood going into the tube. Flu shot, she was PIZZED...but she politely said thank you after each thing (through tears) and the doc said she was in love with her and it broke his heart that she was crying and came back for a hug and a kiss which she gladly gave...

Sounds like she's doing great! I never knew they did cholesterol tests, I'll have to see about that for my kids next time they go to pedi.
I love when they know their body part! My son knew his very early (like 11 months old), but DD doesn't know hers - except her belly button which she proudly pulls up her shirt!

you know that's what I was surprised about, she has known her body parts for a long time, but I wasn't gonna spout off all the things she DOES do like a crazy stage mother...but she can count to like 16 (well, 14, 15, and 16 sound the same) and clearly say her ABCs and identify some letters (well, she can also count to ten in Spanish...but I def didn't tell him that because it's a combo of Dora and her teacher )
but he was so excited about the body parts...I just said yes to all the questions he asked about what she was doing (i.e. the above)
and DIANA1215, thanks...it's one of my fave pics too apparently a sign of things to come.

I know, i know...I was kinda blown away by this...but she doesn't snack at all except the small one they give at schoo (pretzels or fruit cups)l.
The only snack I give her is the Mott's fruit snacks)
I guess she eats a lot of cheese
