Other than an adults only resort or cruise....
Where have you vacationed and noticed there weren't that many children?

New Orleans - I don't recall seeing a lot of kids there at all.
Maybe Vegas? They did tried that family friendly campaign for a while but I believe they are trying to get back to "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"

Re: Other than an adults only resort or cruise....
Check out Lambertville, NJ and New Hope, PA. We stayed in a B&B that only allowed children over the age of 12 (there are a lot that do this now) and it was more of an antique-y town. New Hope was hipper, but felt 20 to 30 somethingish. There's enough for a long weekend, but not a full week.

By the way, ditto for Newport RI. I don't remember a lot of children and we stayed in another 12 & up B&B.

Costa Rica. Especially where we stay because it's a 'surf' town and very rural & remote

Puerto Rico, the southwest region. Quiet and beautiful!! When are you looking to travel, a lot of places are fairly kid-free if school is in session.

This is the opposite but I would have thought Vegas was less kid friendly and was mistaken, not that I minded but I was just surprised how many kids were around.
We were at our friends hotel which had a "party pool" you know lots of drinking and debauchery and there were tond of kids around.

We tend to travel in the fall. The only time it really bit us in the a$s was in Australia...we stayed in the Gold Coast (Queensland) for a few days when it was "schoolies" time. It was their spring break. The kids were amusing but we were glad to get to the next lag of the trip.

We usually go once a year and skip the strip in the daytime altogether. I couldn't believe the drunk, raunchy, highly entertaining adult behavior kids were around.
