I believe Horizon organics makes boxed "sippy" milks.

You know what, for one day 1% milk won't kill her! I have given Noah low fat milk on ocassion and he is still with us!!!

or you can ship the 2 gallons ahead to your hotel and ask them to hold the package for you. I used to do this all the time for trade shows, ship the package to arrive a day before I arrived or the day I arrived.

Can you contact the hotel and see if they can order it in for you with their regular food shipments?

Why not call one of the supermarkets down there and see if they carry it? Im sure if it's a big island they probably have it available.

Ah I see. I am just playing devils advocate and all that..trying to help find a solution (thats me, solutions orientated) why not a) call the hotel and ask the reception desk b)use regular milk for that 5 days...

Did you try to call Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, or Wild By Nature?

I would imagine 1% isn't going to hurt her, it's only for 5 days.

OR, you could by Organic formula made for toddlers...and go that route since it has the same (and more) nutrients than milk.

I would call ahead as well, if the island is not that remote they should have access to organic milk.

If you want FM where you are going I can do some research for you if you like.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I think Fairway in Plainview has organic whole milk in the boxes, I can't remeber the name but it wasn't Horizon.

Have you also tried smaller local health food stores? Good luck and enjoy your vacationChat Icon

Why not have fresh direct deliver an order with the milk to your DH's job. I have done this before for some whacko stuff. DH didn't appreciate having to carry it home on the train, but he managed and we got what we needed Chat Icon

I don't know where in LI you are...but I'm going to be in the city later this week and back in Lynbrook on Saturday afternoon...if I can help, let me know.

You could try Organic formula, but remember that even the change in water could upset her stomach. I know when I go on holiday and the water is different I often have a dodgy tum or I get spots! So be careful!
