Options to cover a fuse box

does anyone have their fuse box in an area that is visible? If so, do you have it covered and what did you cover it with?

I have a fuse box on my first floor and it's on the wall that you first see when you walk in the house and I'm having a hard time finding something that is the right size to cover it. It's already painted the same color as the wall so it's not AS obvious - but it still bothers me.

I think what would work best is like some kind of welcome sign - but I'm having trouble finding anything.

The box is about 13"x 9"

Is it at eye level??? What about a nice plant or topiary if you have room for that?? Or a very small table that could hold one in a planter and obscure the box? I suppose even a vase with reeds or branches could work too?

yes it's at least eye level maybe a little higher. It's above the light switch for the kitchen. Chat Icon

What about a framed picture or a mirror?

That's what I would suggest. You can mount hinges on the picture, so the picture just swings open like a door, so you have easy access to the fuse box.

Ours is in the living room. When we first moved in it was covered with a door that had wallpaper and a wooden silhouette of a cat with some dried flowers.Chat Icon We just covered it with wood paneling that matches the rest of the wall but it's hidden behind the chimney of our wood burning stove so it would be silly for us to have a print there but I do like that idea.
