Is she hungry? Maybe she needs to eat? OR, this could just be her fussy time. If it happens at the same time every night, then it could just be fussiness.Chat Icon

Evening fussiness is very, very common. The Happiest Baby on the Block has some great suggestions for how to help calm the baby. If something was wrong, she would be fussing all day, not just in the evening (although check with your doctor if you are really worried!)

I know its frustrating but I think thats just the fussy time for her. My daughter is 5 weeks old and every night between 8 and 10 she is like that. 10 pm hits and she is all smiles again - so wierd. hang in there - I hear it passes!

Why are you holding her off until 7 to eat? At this age, most moms try feeding the baby anytime they seem upset.

My daughter did the same thing! For whatever reason it was just her fussy time... the problem was that it was always around the time that I had to be making dinner... made it rather difficult and frustrating... it passed as she got older thoughChat Icon

Are you BFing? Those can be known as the witching hours for breastfed babies. She may be hungry. If you are BFing a lot of babies like to cluster feed at night. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Mine did the same to me at around the same age. I did read The Happiest Baby on the Block and it did help alot. It gave lots of suggestions on how to quiet them. It passed rather quickly (about 2-3 weeks) so we know it wasn't colic. She is now 11 weeks old, and she still has days where she is crabbier than others but at least the inconsolable screaming for hours at night has gotten better.

That simply may be her witching hour. My son went through it around that time for a few weeks straight and then every now and then those hours were still the crazy ones in this house. It comes and goes.
Many of us have been there...try not to get too stressed out!Chat Icon

Every child has a witching hour. You are lucky yours seems to have clearly defined hers. My daughter's witching hour varied 1 hour on either end or both and my DH works nights so it was all meChat Icon

If you think that she is coliky her stomach would feel hard and you could probably feel gas bubbles in her belly. Try holding her as if she was a rag doll thrown over your arm.

If it's just her witching hour- just know that it will improve or she will be like my daughter and find a new time for 'cranky' hourChat Icon

Maybe try swaddling her. When Kevin fussed I swaddled him and it seemed to help calm him down.

I think the cluster feeding suggestion may be on target. She may just be extra hungry at night.

Re: OMG...im going out of my mind..someone please help me

like others said....it could be totally normal just her witching hour. We went through that and dd's time was usually around 6 just as dh walked in the door. Eventually she grew out of it and we found different things that worked...I got a great cd called infant calm. She almost always relaxed when we put that on. Or I would put on other music and dance with her. Or put her in the bjorn while I tried to make dinner and then dh and I would alternate eating and holding her.

I don't really have any suggestions but I just wanted to share that my DD started doing the same thing at 2 weeks old. She wanted nothing anytime from 8-9 pm until 12-1am!!!! It is nice to know I am not alone. FH had her last night and somehow, she was only fussy for about 15-20 min and then she let out a big burp and an even bigger fartChat Icon and passed out. She was great all night. I hope she didn't have all that gas for the last 2 weeks!

I feel for you- dd cried most of the day at random times, but always from 9:30 to 4:30 am without a break.

It will pass!

Re: OMG...im going out of my mind..someone please help me

DD was VERY fussy, still is but got ALOT better! In the sling or DH used the Bjorn we walked around the house and rocked her until she fell asleep, worked EVERY time! I HIGHLY recommend slings DD LOVES being in it Chat Icon I use it everyday! Of course me nursing her helped Chat Icon

We even tried Mylicon and Gripe water and none of that helped. Seemed to be something she just grew out of. By 3 months she started sleeping much better and now we all get some rest Chat Icon Hang in there, it WILL get better Chat Icon
