OMG! When did Janie & Jack get SO expensive?
I used to buy from there a lot, but kind of stopped because I had a lot of clothes "built up" for DD. I got a 25% coupon in the mail yesterday and was so ready to buy her a bunch of stuff. When I looked online, dresses were like 50 bucks each--some even more! Jeans were 34, t-shirts were in the teens and low twenties!!
I mean--seriously??
I buy A LOT of clothes for DD and I've never seen such a jump in prices! Maybe I'm just having memory loss??
ETA: I always knew they were on the upper end on kid's clothes, but I'm saying they've gotten even MORE expensive

I feel like Janie and Jack has always been expensive for full price stuff, but their sale prices are usually pretty darn good.

I think they are always expensive when they are full price, but when they have sales, I don't think they aren't too bad because its good quality.

OK, I'm back. I took your advice and went to the sale section--I got
2 pairs of pants
1 skirt
1 T
1 pair of shorts
1 beanie
1 pair of tights
1 bodysuit
1 pair of shorts
for 92 bucks w/ my 25% coupon.
So not so bad for J & J!

The prices sound about right for Janie & Jack.
I've bought a few things on sale there that I loved. Good quality but now I'm all about Daffys.

I have several things from there and have been buying from them since DD#1 was born and I have to say I have never seen a price change from them. Their stuff has always been up there in range. I usually wait and buy their items on sale.

That store is too expensive for my taste! Every once in a blue moon I get a coupon for them and sell it on Ebay. You can get $10 or $12 for one of those "$25 off purchase of $100" coupons.
Once I sold a 25% off coupon for $29, can't imagine how much the buyer was planning to spend there, to make that coupon worthwhile!!!!

I remember buying DD TONS of stuff from J&J before she was even born. Maybe b/c I haven't shopped for a while I was like  !
I got some good deals, but some of their girl stuff is a little too frilly for my Chloe.

ITA!!! I am such a J&J groupie is not even funny. I have been shopping this store from before DD was born. My SIL got me hook on this store.

I agree with this as well. I bought DS a sweater for the 1st bday party from there, and it was on sale. It was more expensive than anything else I have ever bought him. I splurged only because it was was for his first birthday.
