OMG The craziest thing just happened to me!!
Baby BK and I were watching tv when the inside doorbell rang. In order to get into the building you have to be buzzed in, so the only way to get to my door is if I would have buzzed them in...but I didn't. Of course there is no way I am opening, it could be an axe murderer. The individual on the other side keeps ringing it untill I scream "What is your problem"?
I look through the whole and it's 2 guys dressed as Nasssau County PD, I am still not opening the door. I tell them to show me their badges and turn around. I look outside and see a cop car. I finally open the door because unless they stole the outfits and the car, they had to be real! They tell me my neighbor is missing!!!! He has not been to work in 4 days!! Of course I only have seen the man in passing so I don't have any answers. Then they busted down the neighbors door to see if he was deceased. :O I did not need to witness that! I started to get nervous and freak out and asked if I could close the door, they said it was fine. The one who I gave trouble to about opening the door asked me why I was paranoid to open the door. I told him my grandma's best friends husband was killed by a guy dressed as a UPS man in the 80's. Then he said, "Oh, okay."
I am still freaked out, I hope the dude is okay.

I thought it was a sign from g-d that two men are coming to kill me and I don't have current bloodwork for identification. I am going this weekend to have that done!
eta: Don't go missing because I described my neighbor as a 60 yr old with salt and pepper hair. Turns out he was 40 and bald.

Once when I was a kid, the FBI came and knocked on our door looking for our neighbor across the street, who just happened to look like and act like Ward Cleaver but was a big time dealer

I think those 2 cops have some nerve asking YOU why you were being so cautious. Do they live under a rock? Have they not heard the horrible nightmare of the woman in NYC being attacked on Hallowwen by a "firemen". I think that was 100% out of line to comment on how cautious you were being.

Oh no - I hope everything is okay.
You definitely responded the right way - remember around the holidays all of those incidents with people posing as delivery guys....better to be safe than sorry.

Yea they could have yelled out OPEN UP IT"S THE BLOOD TEST CENTER_WE HAVE BW ORDERS FROM YOUR DR.!
