OMG so gross and sad
Chinese chefs have come up with a way to keep a fish alive while deep frying it! It even keeps trying to breathe while waiting to be eaten and people pick at it

I dont even know what the appeal would be in something like that. :(
I started watching some new cooking school show on Bravo last night and the head chef was showing someone how to remove the digestive organs from a lobster while it was still alive. I turned it off after that.

this is 180 degrees opposite from how native americans would kill what they would eat. they wanted it to be as painless and as quick as possible. they felt that the fear the animal felt before death would be consumed by whoever ate it.
i would not want to east something that was in distress as i comsumed it
