Olivia has a clogged tear duck need help!!
Olivia's tear duck is clogged and this morning her eyes were shut with goo. how do i unclog it for her?

It's totally normal... you have to massage the tear duct with your finger (clean, of course) everyday, a few times a day. If the goo doesn't go away tell your pediatrician and he can prescribe some eye drops to help

Marissa had this and I was told to take a cotton bal with warm water and clean the eye with this plus I was given eye drops

i took a warm wash cloth this morning to soften up the crust so she could open her eye then i used a q tip to get the gook out and then took the wash cloth and blotted where the tear duct is how do i massage the tear duct?

You massage the corner of her eye with your pinky. The corner where the eye duct is, just place your pinky there and massage downwards. It's hard to describe. At your next pediatrician appointment you should ask the doctor and (s)he'll show you

Ryan had this really bad in his right eye. I did the massage and it worked but then came back later. My pediatrician gave us drops that completely cured it. So I would try the massage and if it doesn't work within a couple of days I would take her to the doctor.

I always used a cotton ball w/ warm water. You massage the corners of the eye by their nose.

Emily used to get this quite frequently. I did the tear duct massage and also warm cotton balls over her eye in the morning...I'd hold it there for a few seconds to soften it all up then wiped it off. My doctor said it wouldn't be anything they'd treat until 9 months if it still continued.

Joey had this also. The other ladies already gave you any advise that I was going to give. Don't worry it's very common and will probably be gone in no time

Hey..Corinne ...it's Yaji..became a member to be able to respond to u...lol
Jayden had the same thing for about 3 weeks. I would clean his eye with warm water and cotton balls. Massage the area (near the inner corner of her eye) giving slow downward strokes. The pediatrician also prescribed some eye drops which work GREAT! Can't remember the name of the eyedrops but the maker is Alcon.

Thanks Yajaira im going to the doctors on the 16th with her and didnt want to go before i massaged them last night and they look alittle bit betterbut still have some crud. she slept for 6 1/2 hours last night that could be why also.
