Ok time for a stupid question...

When putting your DC's in the pool. Do you put a diaper underneath the swimpants? if so then does it have to be a swimmy or can it be a regular one?

Damn I feel really stupid for asking...Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Ok time for a stupid question...

What swimmy shorts do you mean? The plastic ones that look like underwear with the elastic on the thighs? If so, I think the point of those is to use a regular diaper. But Michael's bathing suit either has a liner built in (like underwear - meant to serve as a diaper) or that netting that boys suits have and I always put a swim diaper on him no matter what's in his swim suit.

Some have the liners and some have the netting and on the front they all have those string where you tie them.

So should I put a swimmy diaper on anyways and then the shorts? What about a regular diaper? Could I put those underneath or no?

Re: Ok time for a stupid question...

I would not use a regular diaper in the pool, they get HUGE and sooo heavy and the gel comes out, makes a big mess... just use swim diapers... I am not sure what swimmy shorts are, I have seen the non disposable swim diapers before but I don't know if that's what you mean.

If he's going in the water, you need to put on a swimmie diaper. A regular diaper will absorb tons of water and it'll weigh like 10 lbs.
