First-I'm so glad you are going, I think it will be great for you guys!

Second-if you are responding in person, I would say you and AJ are looking forward to the party, what is DS into?

If you don't get to talk to the parent-I would take a poll on here for a gift to give and get a gift receipt.

Dear X,

AJ and I are thrilled to attend Y's birthday party on date. Is there anything in particular that Y is into these days? We are looking forward to seeing you this weekend or at the party or when ever).

I would spend around $20-$25 bucks and include a G.C.

My son at that age loved Melissa & Doug toys where you put together sandwiches, ice cream...cuting vegetables..

M&D toy

I would get a book or dvd along with it. You can't go wrong with crayola stuff, playdoh, legos...

Pretty simple.

"Thanks for inviting us. We are really looking forward to it. Is there anything particular your child wants or needs?"

Thanks.. writing the email now.

Unfortunately since I am such an early drop off and late pick up we dont see any of her classmates' parents.

It seems our 'school' is popular amoung teachers as well as military families so everyone has a better schedule than us Chat Icon haha or at least it FEELS that way. Like I'm the only mom in the world who works 8:30 to 5:00 with a hubby that works 8:30 to 5:30. *shrug* I do what I can.

Thanks everyone!
