oil change synthetic oil price
Does $80 , including filter, fluid & tire check sound right for a new car???

That's a little high for synthetic. Is this a dealership price? I wouldn't be surprised. Is your car a performance or European car? I wouldn't bother with synthetic on a regular car.

I paid $79.99 or $89.99 - don't remember exactly at Jiffy Lube for a synthetic oil change. This was my first car with a turbo engine and I was shocked when I saw how much more synthetic oil is

Yep. Jiffy lube told me all cars going forward (2011-and up) will need this oil.

This was a place in town - not the dealer - my first visit there.
Not sure I will continue even if they do have a good rep. Maybe I'll try it w/o the synthetic next time?

from what pep boys told me the regular oil change can be 3,000 miles, the synthetic 5,000 miles.

i paid 100...my dh thought it was a good price for our car but now im thinking twice with the prices you guys are listing. the only thing is i get so nervous every time i have to bring my car that a place will screw with so for me, the price is worth it because i love my car place

If your care requires synthetic then I wouldn't use anything else.

Synthetic oil change deals pop up on Groupon often. I would check there for a deal. I want to say the last one was $39.99

I get mine done in E. Patchogue at Baldwin Auto I think my DH pays around 45.
Once you use Synthetic Oil you can't go back to regular oil, but you also only have to change every 5000 not every 3.
