Oh dear lord!
My friend who was just here last Tuesday- just called to tell me she has SHINGLES!!! 
Ryan was in bed thank god... and she never went near him....in his room... near his things... nothing..
But of course Im still totally freaked out...
I hope I dont get it!

Don't worry Marissa. I'm pretty sure you get shingles usually if it's already in your immune system. I'm not sure it's as contagious as chicken pox.

Shingles is something that is in your nervous system it lies dormit in your spinal cord if your under stress sometimes people get little bumps like blisters on there skin in patches, you cant catch it. As long as Ryan wasnt touching her he will be fine, my brother had it like a month ago and julia was around him alot, but didnt touch him and she was fine. Shingles is something u just get, you cant pass it.
Shingles comes from the virus hiding inside the person's body, not from an outside source.

Thanks- Ryan wasnt even awake while she was here- so they never came in contact... and she had no rash- and no symptoms...

my moms friend just had shingles and 1 day before she knew she was holding him. luckily the ped said that unless he touched the actual sore that he wouldn't get it!
