Can I ask you what your TDA info is?

I have it set at 15% with 100% in Variable A. I just changed it from 10% with 20% in Fixed and 80% in Var. A.

Just wondering what others are doing.

Re: NYC teachers

I am taking out 15% as of now, and have it all in variable a..while you're young, i hear its the place to be since you can afford to wait and get some good returns..ok, that's all I know since I think it's confusing...I want to raise the amount I take out, but need to figure out what we'll be making in May when we get that other raise (I'm right on this, right?) Oh, and did you find out about that $1000 for our 5 year longevity??

Re: NYC teachers

I am doing 18% with 20% in fixed and 80% in variable A. I have been told to put 100% in Var. A as I will be in the system for a long time and then switch to fixed as I close in on retirement.

Right now I put in 8% and have it all in variable A. I still have 20 years left before I can retire. As I get closer I will move most of it.

I have 10% coming out and I think 75% is variable A and the rest is fixed.

and here

Don't wait...it takes about an hour to do, but it's the smartest thing to do. Every month, abou t$500 goes to my fund. I know it's not a lot for some people, but I'm happy to know it's going somewhere.
