Nursing while sick???
I woke up this morning with a sore throat. I don't know if it's an allergy post nasal drip or if I'm getting sick. My question is, if I nurse my son and I am sick, will he get sick, or will he be getting the antibodies for whatever is going on?

ITA, just make sure you wash your hands before you nurse him so that he's not getting exposure to the virus itself from your hands.

I was sooo sick last week and nursed DD through it, and even though she was hanging all over me and i was unavoidably coughing and sneezing on her, she did not get sick!

A few weeks ago both DH and I had a bad cold. I nursed DD throughout and she didnt get sick. I washed my hands constantly though and I went to Target and bought those disposable face masks too to wear while I was holding her.

Same here. I learned to nurse ahead while you're sick to help the baby build the same defenses your body is using to fight the illness. That and trying not to breathe directly in their face.
