Nursery Decorating Help Needed - PLEASE!!!

Originally we were going to go with the Scribbles collection and do one wall in the room with the same design as the bedding.

But then I started looking on line for different designs..and came across a website "Nursery Depot" that has this bedding set that while very nice, is WAY too expensive. Since DH can draw I thought he might be able to draw the pictures below along with a crown, ballet slippers on the wall, since they are charging WAY too much for the actual pictures. I figured we could go for a lower price/key bedding.

Here is where the idea came from & the pictures are below of what I want him to draw:

I also want to paint my own letters that spell out her name because I refuse to spend $20-30 per letter. BUT..I don't know where to get a pole for it to hang them...

we are gonna use wallwards.com, i have them now in my house and they look awesome...i love nurserydepot.com....

u pick font saying etc...they come on a wax type paper...similar to the scrap book letters that rub on...buit they are a plastic detail, look just like paint, cant even tell they are vinyl....you put them against the wall and rub the back so they break free from the paper, the stiucky sid eis on the wall....they come with a guarantess so if you mess up you rip it down, send it back, and get a new one, i did dit, its very easy...

could you use a curtain rod? or the pole that you put up in kitchens for cups and utensils?

For the letters, I would think a dowel rod from the craft store should work (sp?)
