NPR: but baby related i have a ? i hope someone can help!
hi ladies so my god-daughter is being christened this weekend. I'm unsure if i should be giving her a check.
my husband and i have to fly to NC for the christening which wasnt too $$ but it still was extra $$.. and i bought her, her gown which was 75.00. Do you think i should be giving a check aslo? im very on the fence about this.. and i ve never been a godmommy before so i dont really know what to do. im hoping someone can help!!

If it were me I would, or I would buy a bond or something.
My DS got a precious moments cross for his room which I love, as well as a bible, both arent too much money but a nice thought.

I don't think you HAVE to do anything -
I would personally want to give her something - but you don't have to write a $250 check or anything like that -

see i want to and dh thinks were doing enough by flying down there taking off from work and paying for her gown/ accessories.

I just went to a baptism in Chicago this past weekend and I am the godmother. I gave her a cross necklace, a godchild christmas ornament, a frame and a savings bond. My DH & I also flew to Chicago for the weekend and I would do it again in a second. It was the most incredible experience and honor for me.

i agree with the incredible experiece i cant wait and im so proud that my brother asked me to be her god mother! my mom has the cross covered so i was thiking maybe a pair of birthstone earing studs! im pretty srue shes getting her ears pierced this weekend!
