Not a good day...
Normally I don't post anything bad, but we had a bad day yesterday and its kinda thrown us for curveball.
First, I don't think we're pregnant this first month and second we're holding off for a little bit now.
We picked up a new dog yesterday morning and all was well. I had family pictures scheduled with a photographer I've been excited about but the catch is he's 3 hours south. Its so pretty down there, I kinda didn't care, and convinced my husband to. THe pictures were in Charlottesville where UVA is. We got all the way there, I was driving, were on the campus, only a block from parking and I didn't see the car in front of me stop. Bam. Yeah, my idiot self fault. I was just so happy and distracted I wasn't paying attention to what was important. I was going about 15 - 20 mph. They drove away from the accident after all was done. I was driving my husband's new car-he rightfully so upset about it, and it needs a good amount of work, we could not drive it back.
So with some uncertainty about money (I guess we could be sued), frustration, feelings DH said now is not a good time for TTC. I agree. I'm sure this will pass, but I feel like such a loser right now. I'm glad everyone involved is ok. DH called the other couple and the guy said they took his wife to the ER afterward and she is ok. But there is the lawsuit part of it, I just hope we don't lose out big time because I was a flake. Its such irony too how I am a cautious driver...this just is awful.
Well  to all I'm out for awhile .

Thanks for the hugs ya'll. I feel so bad. I don't need sympathy because its my fault. If I were the one hit, I'd be upset with the person who was at fault, except I'm that person.
Anyhow, your hugs mean a lot, so thank you.

Even if you were sued your ins. co. will handle it. It doesn't sound like they are going to sue. Don't worry about it it could have been much worse. GL

Accidents like that happen some times, don't beat yourself up about it. Luckily, everyone is ok and that's most important.
Hope things improve, maybe after things settle down you and DH will change your minds about TTC. Hang in there!

 Oh Christian, I'm so sorry!!
I know what it feels like to rear end someone...unfortunately.  
As for the babies, once things calm down maybe you guys can discuss it again. This isn't a reason to put that on hold. The insurance company will take care of any lawsuit, if there is one, even if it was your fault. In the grand scheme of things, it's totally fixable. But there are things that can't be fixed, and you don't know how long it'll actually take you to conceive. So don't hold off!
I'm sorry if I come off as "preachy"...it's just that given my current situation, DH and I regret waiting. 
Now, on to happier news, you say you got a puppy?  I wanna see!! 
Piper's a big sister now!!

I am so sorry. DH and I went though an unexpected turn of events this summer and thoughts of TTC went on hold for a short time just when I thought we were at the point of being ready. Even thought it was short lived, it was devastating. I agree with Sasha in that things can be fixed but one never knows what the future will bring in terms of TTC and conception. We talked it out and actually through the support of family and many co-TTCers, DH and I decided that we werent going to stop TTC. Now we arent pregnant yet, but we are that much closer to investigating all of our options to make this happen for us ASAP!

I am so sorry that happened Christian- Don't worry about being sued- that's what insurance is there for.
I once hit a woman and she drove into a fence. It was awful- all you can say is that everyone is ok- but please don't beat yourself up over it.
