Nose Bleeds

Does anyone else get them? All of a sudden, I'm getting them every night. It's gross and annoying. I use saline a few times a day, so I know my nose isn't too dry. Is there anyway to prevent them?

Re: Nose Bleeds

I have gotten them since about 13 weeks pg.

have you tried a humifier? It seemed to have slowed them for me.

I had a cool mist one during the winter dry season.

I asked my dr if i could stop them, he said no since your extra blood volume and sensitive nose.

Also some ladies have tried putting vaseline around/in their nose to keep the membranes moist.

Re: Nose Bleeds

I did, right after my BFP. Once I was past 7 wks, they stopped. I hated them!!! I just made sure not to blow my nose too hard or anything to bring it on....

I am 17 weeks and I get 1 - 2 a day! Chat Icon
I asked the doc about it and he said saline spray (or even just cool water) and a humidifier in the bedroom. Another wonderful "side effect" of pregnancy, I guess Chat Icon

Re: Nose Bleeds

I get them all the time. I see an ENT and he told me to keep the windows open a little bit and to use KY Jelly because it's water based.
