No ground mail thru USPS?
My mother went to mail me a package last week. Normally she ships it thru ground mail b/c it is a lot cheaper, but it can take 4-12 weeks to get to me.
The post office said no more ground mail, so she wound up having to pay more $$$ for airmail. Yes it will get to me sooner, but it was only things that I can't get in the US or are much cheaper there. Thank god I am going to NY for x mas b/c she said it would have cost too much to send presents there.
Anyone know of any shipping place that does ground mail???

She might have to do that next time. I just think this is so strange. I can't believe they don't do ground mail anymore.

Did you go to the website? Might say something on there
Ok I went and looked and there is a long boring statement about "is it cost effective" I can't read it all, but it looks like they aren't doing it anymore as of August 2nd this year 
Which sucks, now I'll have to send everything home air mail - mmmm nice & cheap

It definitely is strange.
I know when my dad mails packages to his friend in France he uses UPS.
