no appt til 8 weeks
I don't understand how so many doctors will see you at like 6 weeks and mine won't until 8 weeks. Ugh, this is my 2nd pregnancy and I swtiched OB's. BOTH docs won't see us earlier than that...boooooooo. I want to hear and see my baby!!

I know it's hard but honestly at 8 weeks is when you hear and see the heartbeat. Many girls go earlier and get so nervous when they don't hear a HB (naturally) but in reality their beans are very healthy and have strong HB's by the 8 week mark!

I didn't have an OB before (we just moved to another state a year ago) and the new doctor wouldn't see me until they thought I was at least 8 weeks. They just say it isn't necessary.
I know how frustrating it is and how badly you want to see what's going on in there, but it's totally worth the wait!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck!

alot of drs wont see you before 8 weeks unless you're high risk. I know for me, the only reason why I've been having so many sonos so early is bc I've had 2 m/cs and they're monitoring me very closely this time around.

Mine wouldn't see me until then either.
There isn't much they can see or do any earlier than that.

I agree. My dr had me come in a 5 weeks. He thought I was further along than I was (I knew better--I was tracking O). We saw nothing but a teeny yolk sac. He said I could come back a week later to see if there was a HB, but I actually opted to wait until 8 weeks. I was afraid it would still be too early and I'd be nervous/crushed if we didn't see anything.

My OB said between 7 & 8. I go on the 27th which (to my calculations) will be 7w1d.
I'm hoping that everything will be fine and that when I'm there and I see something it'll ease some of my worries!!
But I know how hard it is!!!

I had fertility treatments and had a sono at wks 6,7,8,9,10,12,14,and 16..
16wks is when they found the problem

I know it seems like a long wait, but you're better off waiting until 8 weeks- unless there is a medical condition that would require you seeing a doctor before then. So many girls get earlier sonos (not counting those with an RE appt) and when there is nothing there, they are worried and then a week or so later, everything is fine. Hope the weeks go by quickly for you!

mine saw me at 6 but wouldn't do a sono or anything, I just peed in a cup & got vitamins. I didn't have a real visit until 8 weeks.

Wed will be 4 weeks for me (I found out early because I have 23 day cycles)....My dr has me coming in tomorrow to meet with a nurse practioner to do blood work and a urine test. I then go back on the 8 week mark (in September) and meet with the dr for the first time. I'm glad they have me coming in tomorrow because I have so many questions. Although I'm sure you girls could answer them all for me! lol

mine wouldnt see me until 8-10 weeks. and then when i finally got an appt, i was over 11 weeks and they were all F*** dumfounded why i was there so late and had to rush me through all those first round of important tests. 
I think standard though is 8 weeks for the first visit...even though its freaking torture!!
