I would say so. They had better deals during the holidays at B&H where I got mine from but that is still a pretty good price.
My D60 w/ the 18-55 vr lens and the 55-200 vr lens was about $700 during the holidays and I just bought the 70-300 vr lens.
You will love it. I am having so much fun w/ mine.

Presige Camera (where we got ours from last month) has it for $461!!! And no sales tax if you have it shipped somewhere other than NY.

I also got this two lens kit this past fall and I love it. about the same price too.
if you can find the two lens kit for less than $800 it's on target for price and sounds like what you found is about right for price.
