Newlywed and new to LI Families

Hello...

I'm new to the board (just found it and glad I did) and also (hopefully) LI bound from Queens.

I hope to be able to go to Bay Shore where my parents live, but not sure if we can afford anything in a decent neighborhood in the area.

If you know Bay Shore, then can you help us out on the better areas to be in??

TIA!!

Welcome to LIF! Let the addiction begin! Good luck in your house hunting. I don't know much about the Bay Shore area...

DH and I live in Bayshore and we love it!! We live right off 5th Avenue. We walk to Main Street ALL the time! There is a Townhouse like ours for sale around the block from us. Here is the link

Im not sure if its what you are looking for. We are 2 blocks from the train too. We hear the whistle, but we barely hear it anymore because we are used to it. There are no fees either

I'm from Brightwaters, which is in the Bay Shore area, and there are some really nice houses there, but they tend to be more expensive. As for Bay Shore, south of Montauk and south of sunrise would probably be the better areas. FM me if you have any questions about a certain area in particular. Good luck!
