New Year's Update on Rudy... now known as Donovan
He is now home and resting comfortably in his new place. My friend can't get over how big he is. She said he is such a good dog and is happy he will spend his remaining years being cared for and loved.
The pics were taken from her phone.

How old do they estimate him to be? Is he healthy? I'm so happy for him and your friend!

I just can't get enough of this story. I also am curious as to how old he might be? However young or old, he will live out the rest of his life being loved, warm, and HAPPY. I would love to see pics when his fur grows back!

OMG the pic of him laying on the carpet like that makes me  because that is how I saw him laying on the wet ground - ice, sleet, puddles, etc. and to see him laying on a nice, warm carpet in pure bliss is just amazing!!!!!
That really warms my heart!! I like the new name - it's cute and unique! It totally fits him... PART of me, however, will always know him as my Rudy  
He looks great - his hair is starting to really grow in - he is so fluffy!
I'm so beyond elated to hear that your friend was willing to give him a home and the love he deserves to have!! Thank you so much for all your help!!
BTW - the people at the shelter estimated him to be about 9 years old. He looks so young though!

This is seriously one of the best stories ever!
You read so many horrible stories about animals being abused and neglected - so to hear about something like this- totally makes my New Year's!!
