New Year, New beginnings.. a Look Back and a look ahead

Wow.. another year gone..

Thought it’d be nice to take a look back and also talk about what we’re looking forward to.

For me
This year began with AJ’s tubes being put in. Ordeal to the say the least but worth it. She was such a brave little one.

She had a blast with her first understanding of Egg Hunting for Easter.

Loved seeing Grandpa for 4th of July in her new home. She didn’t want grandpa to leave and neither did I.

She had a great time at Aunt’s house during the summer and didn’t’ really want to start School in August. Including a great trip to the Texas State Aquarium.

She got into saying more words like Momma, Daddy and Fish etc. Numbers and colors were her favorites.

Tinkerbell Movies were favorites until Barney was introduced.

She was the cutest little fairy for Halloween and loved all the food at Thanksgiving.

She had a great time on the beach in Hawaii before coming home to celebrate Xmas.

Finally her speech has exploded and she likes to talk!

So.. what to look forward to Next year?

I don’t ask for much. I hope she’s happy and healthy. I hope we all learn new things together have great adventures and lots of love.

She starts official pre-school on 1/1. She’s been in a pre-school type environment for 2yr olds but starting the new year she’s in the pre-primary official class with 3yrs olds too.

I have hopes for Disney for Halloween!

Otherwise.. Just want love, fun and happiness!

Re: New Year, New beginnings.. a Look Back and a look ahead

This year was tough-sleepless nights, tests and evaluations and questions for Owen. Lots of ear infections and tube surgery in August. Lots of worry about what's going on, is something going on, what does it all mean.

For 2011, I look forward to every progress that Owen will make and I hope that we get good news for him and that Claire continues to be the lovely little girl that she is. I'm looking forward to a couple of trips we have planned (cali and NY). We are TTC for 2 more months so I'm looking forward to maybe another pregnancy or closing the door on TTC forever. If I don't get knocked up, we are thinking of doing out Mediterranean trip this spring. Lots of good things for 2011Chat Icon

Re: New Year, New beginnings.. a Look Back and a look ahead

This year began with the shocker that I was pregnant with #2 when JJ was only 4 months old! I took it hard at first thinking I was taking away from JJ's first year & kept questioning how I was going to handle two babies under 1 year.

I got laid off in March which was a blessing in disguise because I planned on becoming a SAHM once #2 made his arrival. Bad part was, it happend a couple months too early!

Nicholas made his arrival 8 weeks early on July 24th. Definately scary at first & then spent the rest of the summer going back & forth to the hospital to visit him, feed him & just bond. August 20th was the best day, as Nicholas was released home & we could not begin our life at home with the two boys.

JJ turned 1 in September, what a fast year that was. We did not get to celebrate the way I antcipated but it was still nice & I was so proud to see how far my little guy had come from birth. He is a joy to have at home, so charming yet has that devilish nature. I have enjoyed every moment of being home!

Nicholas has broken strides like no other. You would never know he was born a preemie! I am so glad to see that the boys get along nicely & JJ has accepted his brother.

What does next year hold?
I would love to have the time to enjoy my two miracle boys. I want us to grow together as a family & watch my two boys grow together not only as brothers but as friends. I am thankful we have our health & hope that both boys continue to stride in the right direction.

I am also looking forward to getting myself back into shape after being pregnant for almost 2 years. I want to be the person my DH married & the person I loved being.
