New law goes into effect today, cell phone and driving
get caught doing it and not only do you get the $100 fine but now it is 2 points added to your licence. You bet your bottom dollar my bluetooth is charging right now. pass the word around

About time!
Some State don't even allow cell phones. I think the fact that we are allowed handset is still great.
It's handfree not "no cell phone". People are abusing it and before we know it we won't be allowed to cell phones altogether.

It's about time...
I am  at the amount of people that talk on their cells while driving...it's pretty much every 3 cars that drive by.

I'm glad! It's about time...
I saw it on the news this morning, and then saw 3 people on their phones while driving to work........and I work 1.5 miles from home!

I hope this makes a difference. It was already against the law and people still openly used their cell phones. Now they will try harder to hide their phones which means more erratic & dangerous driving by these drivers is in our future.

I wish they would do that here in NC. You know what the law is here.... you can do whatever you want with your phone while you're driving except texting!!!   WTH??? Just no texting, really? That's the south for ya!

all they are gonna to do and put down there phone when they see a cop like they do today.
