Re: new kitty! Need some advise...

Okay so we brought the new kitty home. My cat Tiger has been somewhat okay with him, but can get a bit aggressive (pawing at him). What do i do about this, other than just keep yelling at him?

Also, what about tonight? Tiger usually sleeps with us. The house is kind of big and i'm afraid to just let them lose with each other. Do we lock them both in our room for the night? What do we do? Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: new kitty! Need some advise...

When we got a new cat, we introduced them ot each other slowly. We kept them in seperate rooms for about 2 weeks. Then slowly let them see/smell each other for short periods of time. We let them both out only while we were home with them so there weren't any problems....and then eventually they got used to each other and now they're best friends!

The kiey is to make it slow.....not to just throw them together all at once and expect them to get along.
GOod luck!
They're both adorable!!

Tony is a cute name. Like Tony the Tiger from Frosted Flakes.

This is what we did too. We only separated them for a week and they were fine.

The newer cat is the alpha (both are males) and still takes a swipe at the other guy every now and again but they are declawed, so he doesn't hurt him.
