Need some help here-viewings/wake related

As I posted the other day my DD's BF's Aunt/mom passed away. I had a Spinal Fusion 7 weeks ago and am still limited on how long I can be sitting or standing.

There is a viewing tonight and a Wake tomorrow night. Would it be awful if I didn't go to the viewing? I have no ride and can't drive yet and tomorrow is going to be a long day for everyone. I also would prefer to remember her as she was. The Family, whom I am close to, has no problem with it as they know my situation , yet I can't help but feel guilty. What would you do in my situation?

I'm feeling so emotional today!

Thanks Chat Icon

ETA: I will be at the Wake tomorrow night.

I would do what you can. If they understand then I would not worry about it if you cannot physically go. I would send something to the viewing though if you can so that they know you are thinking of them.

I would feel bad about it but if I physically couldn't be there, I would not go.

The viewing is an open 4 hours where anyone can go and see her. The Family will be there. The Wake is to celebrate her life. It's a party in her honor basically. I wasn't too sure why the open viewing. SHe looks nothing like herself. She will also be cremated.
