Need lunch ideas for toddler going to mini camp
need ideas for lunch for mini camp
needs to be nut free and non meat
so far I have
tuna
egg salad
hummus and pita
plain cheese sandwich
thats it...my brain is much

My mom works at a synagogue nursery school - meat free. She gave me some more ideas -
yogurt
pizza bagel or pizza muffin
pasta - she said a lot of parents will heat food in morning and stick in thermos - it stays hot all day.

My mom works at a synagogue nursery school - meat free. She gave me some more ideas -
yogurt
pizza bagel or pizza muffin
pasta - she said a lot of parents will heat food in morning and stick in thermos - it stays hot all day.
hmmm thats interesting...I'll try that too!!!
thats exactly what it is its a jewish center so it needs to be kosher and non meat!!!

I'll pick her brain for some more ideas. She also told me a lot of people put soup in the thermos. We have done the food in the stainless steel thermos after she told us about it and the food really does stay hot!
Will she eat vegetarian items - like veggie nuggets?

Jeremy has been going to the JCC in our area for school. Here are some great ideas (also nut and meat free  )
bagel with butter or cream cheese
grilled cheese (I make it in the morning and wrap it in foil)
Mac and cheese (wacky mac is kosher) in a thermos**
noodles with butter or sauce in a thermos**
soy nuggets (again, wrap in foil or in the thermos)**
pizza
veggies with hummus
yogurt
for snack:
apple sauce
yogurt
mini muffins
cheese-its (goldfish are not kosher!)
**the thermos really keeps the food very hot!
