need info re uti in baby
DD is 8 1/2 mos old & doctor diagnosed a urinary tract infection and blood & protein in her urine. She is starting an antibiotic today but if she doesn't respond she may have to have intravenous iv in hospital. Anyone with experience with this???

thanks! She is so cranky & worn out. We'll know more tomorrow when I take her back to the doctor. I was looking online & it didn't help too much. The doctor said a UTI in an infant is serious & asked if we had a family history of kidney disease, so of course, I'm nervous.
