Need ideas for block party entertainment/games
Ok, so we havent had a block party for 4 years and this year it fell into my hands to plan. The party is this Saturday. I have a few things lined up (kids bouncer, sand art, cotton candy machine, American Gladiator Joust, DJ and a 50/50 raffle), I *think* our local fire house is coming to give the kids a tour of the truck, but other than that I dont know what else to do
Does anyone have any ideas for games or anything? I was also thinking of doing a male "beauty" pagent, having the guys dress up as women, with a cash prize from the 50/50
help!!!!

Flip Cup for the adults- Always a hit 
Sounds like you have a pretty good amount of entertainment already. Are you looking for an adult activity or something for the kids?

I plan our block party and we are having moon bounce, dunk tank, face painter, cotton candy and a 65 ft inflatable obstacle course for adults and kids. we savea lot of $ per house with no dj and this way nobody can complain they can't hear the music.
start calling places asap bc its getting towards the end of the summer and they might be booked for moon bounces and stuff already
eta: I just re-read the post. You have all the activities booked already?
Do a scavenger hunt for the kids and beer pong and flip cups and quarters for the adults.

I already have them booked, I was looking for more adult type things. I had a face painter, my cousin, but he just got a job working at Great Adventure so he's not gonna be able to do it. Do you do any adult type games?

I remember a block party we went to in bayside... they had a scavenger hunt...
where you had to find certain people and get points from them (or something)
for example... my father was a man with a star in his hair... my dad sat around all day with a barrett that had a star in it...
it gave the kids a cool activity to do for the afternoon... and you had all afternoon to complete it

Whats Flip Cup?
I got this description from Wikipedia:
Flip cup, also known as Canoe, is a team-based drinking game. Effectively a drinking relay race, it is similar to the drinking game boat race. The two teams stand on both sides of a table, facing one another (the person in front of a player is his/her opponent). In front of each teammate is a cup filled with an arbitrary amount of any kind of liquid (often beer). A player and his opponent both have the same amount of liquid. At the start of the race, the first member of each team drinks his or her beverage. When finished, the cup is placed "mouth up" at the edge of the table, and the person who drank it tries to flip it upside down, "mouth down", on the table. If he or she is not successful on the first try, the cup must be reset and re-flipped. Only after the first teammate is done flipping the cup successfully, can the next person proceed. Whichever team finishes drinking and flipping all its cups first is the winner.
Lots of fun...

Not really. The obstacle course I get is for kids and adults so that is what some of the adults do for a few hours. We also play drinking games...
When you say adults do you mean like 25 years old or like 50 years old? lol

At our last block party they had the male beauty pagent contest. That was a lot of fun b/c each family has a "representative" in the contest. You run inside and try to make the guy beautiful and dress him up and then there is a fashion show. Its just alot of fun and funny to watch!
