Need Idea for Baby shower gift--baby will live in Tampa, FL

I am going to a baby shower next month for a friend who lives in Tampa.

She is traveling for her shower, and knows its a boy, so I am planning to get some boy clothing w/ my gift...

NBow..how is the weather in Tampa for a baby? I would think I should not get Fleece things...but he is due in November...will it be ok for short sleeves in Florida then, or should I stick w/ long sleeves--and if short sleeves are out then--what time of year would it be to wear short sleeves again? (like 3-6 mosl,6-9 mos, etc....)

its colder there in march and april the it gets warm again
