Need help finding home for adult male pit bull
Are there any organizations that help people place pit bulls in loving homes?

Oh, I should have clarified, this is not my dog. The person who is looking for a home for him, doesn't even know that I am asking. I am just trying to find out what options are out there before I reach out to this person. My husband and I would love to take him, but we live in an apt complex that strickly does not allow dogs.

Can you post details about the dog (size, age, color, socialization, etc.)? A friend of mine is looking for a pit, but she has very specific requirements about what she wants. (I know, I know... but I can't change what she wants. She is, however, a very experienced dog owner and would give the animal a great home.)

Thank you! He is 4 years old, tan with a white chin and chest. He is medium size and muscular. He is not neutered (again, he is not my dog - so it was not my choice. If he were mine, he would be neutered). I am hoping to convince his current owner to have him neutered asap, and even offer to pay for it myself. He has lived with young children and is socialized with people of all ages. I have only seen him interact with a small dog once, and he was very gentle. He is such a smart, loving dog. I can send you a picuture of him later tonight when I get home (don't have any pictures on my work computer).

I'm going to strongly suggest that he is fixed before any serious efforts are made to find him a new home. As I said in my previous post, I will offer to pay and provide transportation back and forth to my vet.
