Need creative ideas for DD's first birthday
So I have this little problem where I need to do things that are different and creative when I throw a party. Problem is I am having a mental block. DD doesn't really have any favorite characters. Anybody have any creative ideas? Something you may have done for a first birthday thats different?
ETA: Actually the only thing she really LOVES is Moose and Zee from Noggin. They realy need to market those two.

You should do something generic that she probably won't be into in the future- like cupcakes, monkeys, rubber duckies, etc... I had a monkey theme for DS. He wore a monkey costume, I had banana stands with bananas as the CP, and sent out monkey invites.

We did a Fairy Princess Tea Party theme for DD. The princess theme is done a lot, but I think the tea party spin is different. DW made finger sandwiches, we had several teapots and types of tea for the adults. Scones, clotted cream, etc. Turned out really nice.

With my favor business, I've had lots of non-charcter themed parties. Here are some I've made for girls' birthday parties without a character theme:
Monkeys
Hugs and Stitches (Party City theme)
Ladybugs
Princess
Rubber Duckies
Under the Sea (fish)
Girly themes (flowers/ butterflies)
Ballerina
Pink Flamingoes
Birthday (cupcakes, balloons, confetti)
Cheerleading
Puppies
Here is a link to see the favors in all different themes
Then...once you pick a theme, you can go NUTS with the details...favors, invites, food, decorations, pinata, games, etc!!!

I did a pink flamingo theme. Just little touches and the colors... hot pink and lime green.

I did monkeys too.
Joenick made some great monkey girls & boys as decorations to hang around the house- she also made great monkey favors on buckets which were adorable.
we had a monkey on the cake and we had multicolored balloons and yellow & green plates, table cloths, etc
