Need Appetizer suggestions....BBQ pulled pork is the main dish
We're having a party for DH's 40th. I am making BBQ'd pulled pork for people to make sandwiches with as the main meal with sides.
I need some suggestions for appetizers that go with this.
SIL is making a hot artichoke dip and I was thinking honey BBQ wings.
Any other ideas?

Coleslaw goes GREAT with BBQ pork.
ETA Sorry I misread your question. i would do a couple of cold apps. Maybe a 7 layer dip with chips? Shrimp cocktail?

Corn Soup - Ingrid Hoffman has a great recipie on foodnetwork.com
You could also do a tossed salad, or iceberg salad with ranch dressing, cornbread, fresh salsa, guac & chips.

I would do: coleslaw cups, potato salad cups, french fries, veggies and dip, meat/cheese tray, bbq beans in a small cup, and chips. These could also be sides but in small cups they make nice apps as well

last time I was at a pulled pork party, they had stuffed mushrooms...which were great since we were already going to have bread as the meal.
crab cakes too maybe?
