My Porter already has had 1 surgery for a torn ACL. Now it appears his other ACL might be torn. Our vet is good but they do not specialize in this type of injury or surgery. Can anyone make any recommendations? TIA

Thank you! If you don't mind me asking, was it really expensive? We paid $1700 for his last surgery and I don't mind spending that again, but i want it to be done by a specialist. I love my vet, but this type of surgery is not their specialty! I Would just like an idea of what i am in for.

I don't know how much it was but I do know it was a lot cause she was complaining about the cost but then she rushed to do the other so who knows cause my MIL can be a bit crazy.

Thanks! I know it's going to be at least $1700 and i am ok with that as long as everything is done correctly and by someone who specializes in this type of surgery. I feel so bad for him Chat Icon

Her dog is definately better. He wasnt able to run and play outside. Now he is able to be a "dog" again.

My dog had her ACL repaired at Jefferson Animal Hospital. They did an amazing job and were a lot cheaper than LIVS

Gizmo had his doggie-acl surgery done at farmingville animal hospital. At the time it was a great price and they did a fabulous job. But that was back around 1999.
