Need a rec for a hardwood floor re-finisher
Once we close and before we move in, we would like to have the floor in the LR finished. It's carpeted right now and underneath needs to be sanded and re-polyed.
Does anyone have anyone they can recommend to do this? We are in Valley Stream

We used Goldstar Floors and they did a fabulous job... I haven't had a chance yet to post pictures because we'er in the middle of moving, but they came out great...Tell Carl that Jennifer from Mineola recommended you.... he just did our ENTIRE co-op 2 weeks ago for a great price...and we looked around for quite some time... the # is buried in box somewhere... i THINK it might be 841-9007 but i'm not sure

We just had our entire first floor refinished - sanded, stained and polyed - about 2 weeks ago before we moved in. We used Harris Floors. We were very happy with the job that they did and the floors look amazing.

We are currently getting our floors done in our new home (havent moved in yet). I haven't seen the final product yet (they should be done on Friday) but I'm very happy with the service so far!
We are using Duffy's Floor Services, who were actually recommended by someone on here (I don't remember who, sorry!).

I second Gold Star.
We used them about 6 months ago and were very pleased. Good price also.
Don't have the # handy but if you need it, FM me and I'll try to find it.

I used James Aliperti & Son (in Huntington) and was extremely happy with their work and the results.
Check the related topics - it seems someone asks about refinishing at least twice a month

We loved our floor guy...highly recommend. Not the highest priced, but not the lowest priced. He does Nassau and Suffolk.

i just emailed them, thanks! we are getting a quote from empire friday but i know my husband he will go with the first guy that comes around so i need quotes from other people. i believe he's located in ronkonkoma too? if so that's great, right near our house.

He is a good guy, didnt have any problems at all. Another contractor I had who I liked recommended him to me. Yes, he is in Suffolk somehere.
Keep us updated what you think of the visit.
